Airfloated clays are the most widely used
and economically advantageous additives employed in the elastomeric industry.
Hard (fine partical) clay is used where economical processing and compound
reinforcement is needed. Hard clay products give higher modules, tensile
strength, abrasion resistance, green strength, and provide cured stiffness
to elastomer compounds. All of Southeastern Clay Company products are
hard clays.
